While the CED neither gives regular courses nor has a doctoral program in demography, it is heavily involved both in master and doctoral programs at Lund University and internationally. The CED has a Research School in which PhD-students with interests in demography participate. Doctoral programs at Lund University, which welcome students focusing on demography, include economic history, economics, social medicine, social work and statistics. Members of the CED are also involved as coordinator and teachers of the Master Program in Economic Demography, which started in 2005. The program received the highest mark by the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education in 2012. At international level, the CED is involved both in DEMODOC and the European Doctoral School of Demography (EDSD). The latter was situated in Lund between 2009 and 2011.
